About FFC

At Forge and Forest Creations we create truly unique, functional and attractive furniture and decorative objects from reclaimed and re-purposed materials.

We have a large inventory of reclaimed materials from industrial sources, salvaged wood structures and found objects collected over 40 years of never throwing anything away and are constantly obtaining new materials from our many sources. We respect the materials as a history of our past and do our best to preserve them while giving them new life and purpose. A group of very talented artisans are part of of our creative team, including metal fabricators, decorative painters and, especially, Chris Bowman of Woodbury, CT., an extremely talented traditional blacksmith.

We thoroughly enjoy the challenge of blending disparate objects and materials into purposeful, attractive pieces using the creativity and craftsmanship for which we are known. We let the materials dictate the design and keep alterations to a minimum. The color, wear and patina our materials have acquired over their life history are strictly preserved and are an integral part of the final creation. Our pieces are truly unique and we do not make the same thing twice.

We work closely with our clients whether homeowner, designers or architects who are looking  for just the right piece for any home or commercial application, whether it is kitchens islands/bars, coffee/dining tables or more unusual accent pieces. The great advantage of custom made products in general and furniture in particular is that you get exactly what you want. The design, size, color, finish, and features that fit your particular needs. Our projects are not done until you are completely satisfied with the results and we hear “I love it”.

 We look forward to creating something for you that will provide many years of use with an artistic flair and especially enjoy creating something from objects and materials our clients bring to us for that purpose.

In addition, we offer our services to the design/architectural community as a source of unusual and decorative objects, architectural salvage and reclaimed wood from our extensive network of sources for incorporation into their projects.
